One message means one delivery to one person on one channel. Skipped deliveries — a recipient who has not opted in, say — never count against your allowance.

Scheduling, variables and the delivery log are on the free plan too. You pay for volume, not for the parts that make a send safe.
Sends stop at your limit instead of billing you for going past it. Upgrade to continue, or wait for the monthly reset.

A note on speed. Slack allows roughly one message per second per workspace, and WhatsApp sends are deliberately spaced three to eight seconds apart. Those limits protect your accounts and apply on every plan — a higher tier buys you volume and seats, not a faster send.
Yes. The Starter plan is free forever and includes Slack messaging, scheduled sends, message variables and the delivery log, with a limit of 500 messages a month to one Slack workspace.
No. You can create a workspace, connect Slack and start sending on the free Starter plan without entering payment details.
One message is one delivery to one recipient on one channel. Sending the same text to 100 people counts as 100 messages. Sends that are skipped — for example a WhatsApp recipient who has not opted in — do not count against your allowance.
Yes. Plans can be changed at any time. Upgrades apply immediately and downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period, so you keep what you have paid for.
Sends stop at the limit rather than billing you for overage. You can upgrade to continue immediately, or wait for the allowance to reset at the start of the next calendar month.
Paid plans can be cancelled at any time and will not renew. Because the free plan lets you evaluate the product properly before paying, part-month fees are not refunded except where required by law.
